REAL Safe Escape Markers is the award-winning, new and effective guide to emergency exits and escape routes for offshore, industrial and maritime environment gratings. The profiles are in compliance with the MED directive for material low flame spreading and smoke emission characteristics.

Real Safe Escape was developed at the request of the offshore industry, which sought an alternative to painting escape routes on gratings.

Previously, gratings used to be painted for marking emergency exits. This had proven to be a counterproductive method due to its rapid deterioration and high maintenance cost. Painted markings are not safe because their level of visibility is quickly compromised, meaning that their durability is extremely low. Therefore, markings have to be repainted very often which makes their maintenance costs very high. The authorities had deemed this an unacceptable standard of safety.
